This describes Dallas’ Deep Ellum pretty much to a “t”. Or, hell, pretty much any place where wealthy non-artists move into an arts district in an attempt to siphon off some of the coolness of the area.
Or am I reading too much into this?

I’m not a huge Jazz fan, but Holy Crap! I love this album. Everybody I’ve talked to, who has heard it, loves it. We’ve played it in the store everyday since it Tuesday.
I urge all of you to go out and buy this album. If this Jazz cover of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” doesn’t convince you, then I guess nothing will.
(plus, she used to live in my city, and I think that’s cool)
Man, this is terrific.
Topographically accurate LED moon light by NOSIGNER
“The so called Supermoon – the lunar occurance on March 19th, 2011 in which the moon appeared 14% bigger and 30% brighter – shined down on the people of Japan, inspiring them to believe in, and have hope for, rebuilding what they had lost just over a week ago. The Moon is a topographically-accurate LED light that was created based on data retrieved from the Japanese lunar orbiter spacecraft Kaguya.”
I am getting so tired of being show really cool things that I cannot purchase but ought to be able to.
Let’s just hope that this organization doesnt get together with The Coalition Of Religions Whose Deities Are Too Weak To Withstand Disagreement From Those Who Dont Subscribe To Said Religions, ‘cause, that’d be bad.
This is what I have accomplished today.
I did this a few years ago. Looks like they have a bunch of new faces to use now. You havent tested the limits yet, though, because these are all ladies.

Albert Einstein (via sleeping-in-dumbledores-beard) Or not. This really didnt sound like something Einstein would say, now, does it? And apparently it’s not. It seems to have been said by one Francis Phillip Wernig under the pseudonym Alan Ashley-Pitt. Now, personally, I think a great quote is a great quote, regardless of who said it, but I also think that great quotes ought to be attributed to the people who actually said them. |
